This step is completely optional. However, I do highly recommend it. With a smoker that is this size, you want to be able to move it around easily. To that end, I attached 4 heavy duty casters to the bottom. They work amazingly well and the smoker is very easy to roll around. The large industrial casters also make it a breeze to roll over rougher terrain that would cause smaller wheels some trouble.
Since the bottom of the fridge has some fairly thin metal, I cut up a couple of pieces of metal to stretch across the fridge to use as mounting plates for the casters. This gives it more rigidity and stability.

From there, it is a relatively simple task of mounting the 4 casters onto each of the corners. I would suggest using 2 straight casters for the back of the smoker and 2 swivel casters for the front.
